RED MILLS Xcel is a high performance feed designed to meet the needs of pups, brood bitches and race dogs in sustained training. Red Mill Xcel is designed to be used with RED MILLS Racer for racing dogs in strenuous training.

Cr. Protein 32.0%, Cr.Oil 20.0%, Cr. Fibre 1.6%, Cr. Ash 6.7%, Moisture (max) 10.0%, Vit A 8,000 i.u./kh, Vit D3 2,000 i.u./kh, Alpha Tocopherol (Vit E) 250 i.u./kh, Copper 7 mg/kg, Selenium 0.1 mg/kg, BHA/BHT- Antioxidant

Rates of Feeding:
Race Dogs: RED MILLS Xcel is a complete racing diet and requires only the addition of water (unless under veterinary advice). For racing dogs use RED MILLS Xcel with RED MILLS Racer for approximately 5 days before an event. Feed 30-40% of the feed as RED MILLS Xcel and the remainder of the feed as RED MILLS Racer. If using RED MILLS Xcel on its own feed 0.13ozs. per pound bodyweight per day (8gms per kg bodyweight per day). Reduce the proportion of RED MILLS Xcel after the event. Do not use meat with RED MILLS Xcel. RED MILLS Xcel contains very high concentrated energy and protein.

Brood Bitches: Feed at levels as suggested for Race Dogs above the first weeks of pregnancy. RED MILLS Xcel may be used solely for the last 4 weeks of pregnancy and while the bitch is lactating.

Pups: Feed pups 3-4 weeks of age approximately. RED MILLS Xcel soaked in warm water and mashed to the consistency of porridge can be fed. Allow pups as much feed as they will eat within reason. At approximately 7-8 weeks of age, pups will eat dry RED MILLS Xcel and should be allowed free access ad lib to RED MILLS Xcel (within reason) and plenty of fresh water.

Saplings: RED MILLS Xcel is unsuitable for saplings as excessive protein is a common cause of skin irritations and aggression between young dogs. As a guideline use a 50:50 combination of RED MILLS Racer and RED MILLS Tracker during this period.

RED MILLS Tracker is a resting dog feed designed to meet the needs of racing dogs when resting. RED MILLS Tracker is also suitable for use with meat and fish for those who wish to supplement the prepared foods without overfeeding protein or energy when racing.

Rates of Feeding:
Race Dogs: RED MILLS Tracker can be fed as a complete dog feed for racing if supplemented with high quality meat or fish and water (unless under veterinary advice). If using RED MILLS Tracker on its own feed 0.30ozs per pound bodyweight per day (19gms per kg bodyweight per day). RED MILLS Tracker contains a greater proportion of carbohydrate than higher protein and energy dog foods and therefore will balance up the high protein and fat levels if you supplement with meat or fish.

Brood Bitches & Pups: RED MILLS Tracker contains an inadequate level of protein and energy for breeding. RED MILLS Racer which contains 27% protein and 10% Oil is recommended. RED MILLS Xcel is also suitable once care is taken to follow the feeding instructions on the bag.

Saplings: RED MILLS Tracker is ideal for saplings, as it does not contain excessive protein that is a common cause of skin irritations and aggression between young dogs.

RED MILLS Racer is a high performance feed designed to meet the needs of pups, saplings, stud dogs, brood bitches and racing dogs in training. RED MILLS Racer has contributed to the success of numerous classic winners.

 

Cr. Protein 27.0%, Cr.Oil 10.0%, Cr. Fibre 3.5%, Cr. Ash 9.0%, Moisture (max) 10.0%, Vit A 8,000 i.u./kh, Vit D3 2,000 i.u./kh, Alpha Tocopherol (Vit E) 50 i.u./kh, Copper 7 mg/kg, Selenium 0.1 mg/kg, BHA/BHT- Antioxidant

Rates of Feeding:
Race Dogs: RED MILLS Racer is a complete racing diet and only requires the addition of water. Feed 16gms of Racer per kg of bodyweight (0.25oz per lb bodyweight). For example a 32kg (70lb) dog requires 512gms (17.5oz) per day. If you decide to use meat use the leanest meat available. Reduce feed level by one third for every pound of meat or fish fed.

Brood Bitches: Feed at levels as calculated Race dogs for 5 weeks of pregnancy. Increase by 50% for last 4 weeks of pregnancy. Feed twice or ad lib whilst the bitch is lactating.

Pups: When pups eyes first open, i.e. 2-3 weeks of age approximately, RED MILLS Racer soaked in warm water and mashed to the consistency of porridge can be fed. Allow pups as much feed as they will eat. At approximately, 7-8 weeks of age, pups will eat dry RED MILLS Racer and should be allowed free access ad lib to RED MILLS Racer and plenty of fresh water.

Saplings: At about 10 months of age, sapling should have their intake of RED MILLS Racer controlled. As a guideline use a 50:50 combination of RED MILLS Racer and RED MILLS Tracker during this period.
